(KTMB) has strong commitment to ensuring that all transactions
performed through our Freight On-Line System are secure, safe
and confidential. For this purpose, we have put in place privacy
protection control systems designed to ensure the highest security
standards and confidentiality.
Username and Password
The username and password
are personal to you and you agree at all times to maintain the
confidentiality of your username and password and not to disclose
them to any third party. The username must be must be between 1 to 11 characters.
In both cases, don’t use special characters and spaces except
underscore.
To ensure the integrity of your username and password, you are
advised to do the following:
- Do not choose a
password that others can easily guess.
- Do not use simple
words, your name, birth date, telephone number or names
listed in standard dictionary.
- Memorize your
password and do not write it down.
- Unique username and
password should be used to protect your online transaction .
- Do not sharing your
username and password with another person. It should not be
disclosed even if requested by an authorized KTMB Officer.

- Change your
password frequently.
- Do not use any SQL
statement in your username and password.
- Do not use single quote (') or double quote (") in username and password.

You agree that you are solely responsible for any use of the Freight
on-Line system by any person using your username and password.
You agree to indemnify KTMB against any claims arising of your
failure to maintain the confidentiality of your username or password.
You shall immediately notify KTMB if you learn of or suspect:
(a) any loss or theft of your username or password, or (b) any
unauthorized use of Your username or password or of the Site.
In the event of such loss, theft, or unauthorized use, KTMB may
impose on you, at KTMB' sole discretion, additional security obligations.
Information Protection
We take considerable effort
to ensure a safe and secure online transactions but we do not
have control over the computer you use to access Freight On-Line
System. You agree that you must ensure that no body has opportunity
to gain access Freight On-Line system using your login id and
password:
- Always log out of
Freight On-Line System immediately after completing
transactions and before visiting other websites.
- Disable the
AutoComplete function on your browser to avoid automatic
completion of your ID when you type in User ID.

Systems
Security and Monitoring
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has adopted a combination
of the following systems security and monitoring measures for
online transactions:

Firewall systems, strong
data encryption, anti-virus protection and round-the-clock
security surveillance systems to detect and prevent any form
of illegitimate activities on our network systems.

We also use SSL on select pages where you would enter confidential
information. This ensures that your information is encrypted as
it travels over the Internet. This secure mode is enabled before
any such information is transmitted from your computer.

When you have a
broadband connected to the Internet (always-on connection),
consider installing a personal firewall in your PC and
ensure it always turn-off when not in use.

Computer Virus
Protection
We use virus protection software on our computer systems and regularly
update the software. This is a computer security measure that,
in addition to maintaining our computer systems, also ensures
that all files that we develop and/or post on our web servers
are virus-free. Make sure your computer also has an anti-virus
protection program installed to reduce the risk.
We recommend that you purchase a program that automatically upgrades
your virus protection on a recurring basis. If you currently have
a virus protection program on your computer without the automatic
upgrade feature, make sure you update your virus detection program
at least monthly and/or when you hear of a new virus to minimize
your risk. You can do this by visiting the Internet site of the
company that provides your software.
Updating Your Browser
An Internet browser allows access and the ability to navigate
a myriad of information and service resources on the Internet.
Most computers come with a browser already installed.

they often include new security features.

or may not elect to use.
